  I like to read books very much.📚 My parents also encourage me to read books. Reading is my favorite hobby.❤️ I like to read various kinds of books. some of them are short stories, novels, magazines, biographies and children's weekly papers. My father accompanies me to the public library on Saturdays. I have a small library. I have collected many books📚. I save my pocket money to buy books in September.    My friends are also good to read I discuss the books with them😁. Reading helps improve our knowledge . I can improve my vocabulary through reading. Reading provides me with a lot of benefits. So I love reading.my friends encourage me to read books. To become a good reader one should get rid of all misconceptions within him. Firstly, we should be able to be humble to the author and open our minds as widely as possible.             " READING MAKES A MAN"

  Good habits are helpful to a good life .❤️ Anyone who improves good habits has a good life. Getting up early in the morning is the first good habit. we have to go to our duties in time. we can greet others in the morning with a pleasant mood. 😁😊 We have to help others when they need help. When they get any help good people say thank you. We can use pleasant words when we talk with others. When we are at home we can help our parents. We can admire and care about their commitments.  Good children never waste money and time .💰⏰ They treat their parents and grandparents kindly. Good children never harm plants and trees. They teat nicely. They always keep their environment clean .☘️🌿   Good children read good books as a habit 📖️📚. They appreciate good films and drama📽️. Good children always help the poor. They never laugh at their living being. They have peaceful minds. All these good habits help us to be good people. 

The name of my country is Sri Lanka 🇱🇰 . It is an island situated in the Indian Ocean 🫧. Sri Lanka is known as the pearl of the Indian Ocean . In ancient times it was called thambapanni and also serendib . Sri Jayawardanapura is the capital of the country. And Colombo is the commercial center of the country.  The total population of Sri Lanka is more than eighteen million people. The majority of the people speak Sinhalese.   The Sinhala and Tamil New Year is a national festival .  It is an important festival for them . The New Year Day falls on the 14th of April every year . It is just after the harvesting season and every household is well provided with everything necessary to celebrate the new year. The early part of the new year Day is called "nonagathe" or the inauspicious time . In homes, the hearth is not lighted during this time. Those who observe new year traditionally stop all work and engage in religious activities during the inauspicious time.  When the " nonagathaya" is over they light the hearth at an auspicious time and prepare the first meal for the new year.. Vesak is the religious festival of the Buddhists. ☸️ It falls on the full moon day of May.  🌕The exact day changes from year to year .It is the day on which Prince Siddhartha was born. It is the day on which he attained enlightenment which he passed away forty-five years later. Vesak is the day of festivity for all Buddhists☸️. They celebrate Vesak in different ways. One's first day in school is one of the most memorable days in one's life. 🏫I can recall that bright Monday morning 🌞when my father and I set out at an auspicious hour and arrived at the school. At the moment when I entered the principal's office with my father and mother. there were many teachers in it. They warmly greeted my father and offered him a seat. after that, the principal started to ask many questions me. For the first time, I was just like a fish out of water but before long I got used to talking with him without any difficulty. 🌝 At last, I was accompanied to a class room where there were many small boys👦and👧girls of my age. At the time I thought they wouldn't talk with me.   It was heavily raining .🌧️⛈️ Although my parents warned me to stay at home without going to school.But I didn't like to do so. Then I put on a raincoat and came to the bus halt. After a few minutes, the school bus stopped there. 🚌 but there were only a few students and teachers in it, as it was a rainy day.🌧️⛈️  The driver drove the bus fast. 🚌  Suddenly, Then he tried to apply break, but he failed. So then the bus skidded and struck a huge tree. 🌳 🚌  All in the bus screamed in fear😱 . But fortunately, no one was injured *. It is one of the most terrific experiences in my life* .🫣
